The Adamski Kid is the musical incarnation of East London Songwriter/Producer Adam Karayiannis. He cites some of his eclectic musical influences as Kate Bush, Crystal Castles, Bloc Party and Joni Mitchell.
The Adamski Kid supported Hot Chip at their sold out end of tour party in London, played The Great Escape and supported festival favourites 'Jinja Safari' at their gig at 'Birthdays' in Dalston.
Je Veux is a coruscating slice of dayglow pop music that draws you in bangs you on the head and then licks your face. Remarkably it was recorded and scheduled for release long before Bowie announced his comeback but it’s timing could not be more perfect, encapsulating as it does so much that’s great about Bowie – wild invention, panache and pure pop hooks.
Here’s a few quotes:
"He’ll probably become a fixture in the UK soon…if Django Django and Darwin Deez had a love child and then spray painted his face so he’d look like King Tut." There Goes The Fear
"It really is an amalgamation of all things trippy and offbeat…I've listened to it a dozen times now and each time I find another little sonic nugget tucked between the crunching beats. It's like The Adamski Kid made music out of a piece of abstract art." We Are Hunted
"Such a fan of this track! Such, SUCH an amazing ending. I loved it!.. Really cool!" BBC RADIO 1
"A BANGING tune from The Adamski Kid!" Tom Robinson, BBC Introducing
"Shiny new and very cool new sounds here from The Adamski Kid" Chris Hawkins BBC 6
